80% Espadin und 20% Tepeztate Agaven - das ist die Basis für diese spannende Variante von Aprendiz Mezcal. Wie auch der 100% Espadin Mezcal wurde dieser Ensamble Mezcal von Isaías Martínez in San Juan del Río, Oaxaca in einem vollständig handwerklichen Verfahren hergestellt, das die traditionelle Art der Mezcalherstellung respektiert. Das war im Jahr 2018. Die Destillation findet in Kupferbehältern statt.

Ist der Ensamble denn so anders als der "normale" Espadin Mezcal von Aprendiz?

Ja, definitiv! Dieser Mezcal ist relativ komplex und vielfältig. was eindeutige Aroma und Geschmacksdeutung etwas schwierig macht - hier ist viel Platz für Interpretation - fast wie bei einem Raicilla. Für Mezcalfans, die etwas mehr als die blanke Rauchigkeit im Mezcal suchen ist dieser Mezcal zu empfehlen. Dieser Mezcal ist immer eine Jahrgangsproduktion (2018) und auf 1000 Flasche limitiert.

Mehr über die Marke

Aprendiz Mezcal ist eine Untermarke von Pescador de Sueños. Beide Marken werden in der Destilería Santa Sabia in San Juan del Rio hergestellt. Vor Jahren hatte die Marke vier verschiedene 80/20-Mischungen aus der Agave Espadin und einer anderen Agave. Die Ensambles werden hergestellt mit: Mexicano, Tepextate, Madrecuixe und Tobala. Seitdem konzentriert sich die Marke auf den Vertrieb ihres Agave Espadin Joven Mezcal, der für den Cocktailmarkt bestimmt ist. Aprendiz Mezcal wird hauptsächlich in Europa vertrieben.
